1. Terms and Conditions of Trade
2. Delivery
2.1. Delivery will be made by our courier and will occur from Monday – Friday usually between the hours of 9am – 5pm, customers will be notified when your delivery will be made.
2.1.1 Collections can be made from our store in Southport free of charge, however customers wanting to collect will need to contact us prior to order via email.
2.2. We will endeavour to deliver all carpets within 10 working days, all customers will be contacted by email or phone prior to delivery to be told when to expect delivery
2.3. The price quoted on the screen for delivery is to non remote locations in Mainland UK only. Delivery to off-shore islands including Channel Islands and Isle of Man, Northern Island, Scottish Highlands, can be made, but will incur an additional charge, for delivery to any of these areas please contact us for more information.
2.4. Delivery costs are £45 inc VAT. for all orders under £695 inc VAT, orders over £695, delivery is Free of Charge. However geographic locations will determine whether we can fulfill your order. If you believe your location is considered as remote mainland, please contact us to check we can deliver your order for the price shown online.
2.5. If your address requires special access or is not accessible by motor vehicles, we need to know this information, so we can plan our delivery and advise you the best way to deliver your carpet.
2.6. All deliveries will be made by one person, therefore all deliveries will be made to the door of a property or ground floor of a block, however if there is sufficient assistance, our delivery driver will assist in aiding customers moving carpets into houses, flats etc. however this all depends on the circumstance of the situation, for more information please feel free to contact us.
2.7. If we arrive at your address and there is no one available to take delivery, our driver will wait 10 minutes before leaving, customers will then be required to pay for a second delivery. To avoid this happening it is essential all customer orders have at least 2 contact telephone numbers i.e. landline and mobile. We will endevour to keep customers informed to which day delivery will be on and in some circumstances a rough idea of time.
2.8. All orders are dispatched with no sign of damage, however during transit, very rarely damage may occur, although all measures are enforced to avoid this happening, we advise all customers to check the carpet thoroughly before signing from our courier
3. Cancellation Rights
4. Customers Rights to Cancel
4.1. Customers wishing to cancel orders have 48 hours in which to do so. To cancel your order you must notify us by email or telephone and then we can issue a full refund. However if you require immediate delivery or collection within 48 hours then 4.2 applies.
4.2. All carpets unless full rolls are custom orders, so therefore once these items are cut, we cannot issue a refund, all carpets a usually cut within 48 hours
5. Our Right to Cancel
5.1 Carpet UK has the right to cancel customer’s orders if either of the following occurs:
5.1.1 We deem the transaction to be of a fraudulent nature
5.1.2 An order is made from outside the delivery zone as stated in 2.3
5.1.3 Unaware to ourselves the item ordered has become discontinued and a substitute product cannot be found
5.1.4 An order has been made and delivery has been paid for but is different to the address stated in the delivery details and the customer will not pay the required charge, as stated in 2.4.
5.1.5 A typing or pricing error has occurred on screen
6. Prices
6.1 All prices listed on our website include VAT at the current rate, the only time VAT is not shown is at checkout, were it shows the costs of the products before VAT and after which is an obligatory requirement.
6.2 All prices are in pound sterling (£).
7. Carpet Sizes
7.1 All our goods are cut to the exact size at the length, from the order we receive, however as a manufacturers tolerance, the carpet is allowed to be 1.25% shorter on the width, if you require a certain width i.e. 4m exactly we encourage you to contact us and we can measure the width of the roll, providing it is a stock item, to check it is the desired width. If you have ordered a full roll, the manufacturers are also allowed a tolerance of 1.25% on the length.
7.2 If customers feel their order is not the same size as they have ordered, we need to be contacted immediately; all our cuts are stamped at each end to avoid disputes that may occur.
7.3 If customers realise they have ordered the incorrect size, they should let us know immediately, if the carpet has not been cut or ordered in from the manufacturer then amendments can be made with no additional fees. If the carpet has been cut from stock, we may be able to accept the piece back into stock with a 30% restocking charge, dependent on size. If it is specially ordered, then we cannot offer any refund.
8. Images and Samples of Products
8.1 All images of our products are scanned and adapted to best show the likeliness of the carpet, however it is only a representation. We encourage all customers to use our free sample service to see the colour of the carpet for themselves.
8.2 Samples may not be from the current batch of production and therefore should be used as a guide not an exact colour match
8.3 We aim to send out a standard size cutting of samples to customers, larger samples can be obtained but will incur a charge.
9. Payment
9.1 All payments online are processed safely through Sage Pay®, on a secure server.
9.2 Payment can also be made via telephone where after the payment has been authorised all details are shredded and disposed of securely.
9.3 Payment can also be made by cheque made payable to Flooring UK ltd, 22-24 Hart Street, Southport, PR8 6BT. However customers paying by cheque may expect further delays in receiving their order as we will need to ensure payment has cleared before processing the order.
